Is Necessity a Luxury?

I smiled with joy like a baby receiving chocolate, when I turned the shower on and experienced a good flow of water in my new hostel. I've been a bachelor for almost 4 years now, and I came across a lot of residential spaces during this period. But this is the first time I'm experiencing such a thing. Initially, I was fascinated, but later, I came to the realization that it might not be something beyond what we paid for, but only what we are supposed to get. Forget the shower. We had access to hygienic drinking water and food, a clean surrounding, sufficient provision of every amenity with thoughtful planning to make it comfortable and convenient for us without much hassle, and most importantly, immediate and responsive service to every concern we raised. If anyone had ever told me that there's such a living space at an affordable price, I would never have believed it.
