10 Tips to Overcome the so-called Depression
No yada yada intro or motivation message here, only ten tips to overcome depression. The following methods are the ones that helped me during my dark days and I hope it will help you too. They are:
1. Stop checking out everyone's social media profile, post, story and status because it makes you compare your lives and feel bad about yourself. Then, you will no longer feel the worth of you and what you possess and you will always try to win a futile race.
2. Take a nap: A sleep helps you refresh very effectively. It stops you from constantly overthinking the issue and also helps you to come up with a solution to solve it.
3. Meditate or spend time with nature in silence: Practice daily meditation. At first, you will feel nothing but eventually, you will realize how powerful it is and you will become mentally strong. So, be consistent.
4. Exercise daily: Give some physical works to your body. Regular workout can boost your self-confidence by which you will gain a positive mindset. Also, you will become physically fit.
5. Listen to motivation songs or chillax songs: Coming to song selection, you must be very selective. i.e, you should not listen to the songs which make your mood worse. So, let me give you some suggestions. Some of the motivation songs that never fail to motivate you are Eminem's 'Not Afraid' and Fort Minor's 'Remember the name.' And some of the chillax songs are Pitbull's 'Greenlight' and Bruno Mars's '24K Magic.' They keep you energetic, in a jolly, relaxed, fun-loving mood. For more suggestions, kindly DM me.
6. Smile often: Make it a habit because when we smile during the difficult times, our brain is tricked to believe that we are happy. So, start to adore and admire every little thing in your life with a beautiful smile.
7. Power of "I am happy": Say to yourself, "I'm haapppy!!" with a positive energy and with a Mr. Bean attitude. Tell yourself that you are great, with real joy from your heart.
8. Spend time for YOU: Do the things which make you smile or relieve you. For example, watching your favorite series or movie. As we are talking for the sake of your happiness, obviously you must spend time for yourself, buddy. Keep it in mind.
9. Spend time with your loved ones: Be with the people who truly love you who is obviously your parents. Rather than thinking about the ones who disdained you or left you, think about the ones who you have and the ones who truly love you.
10. Sing and Dance: Sing and dance crazily to your favorite songs in the shower(O lalalaa...)
11. Note them down: Whenever you become happy for something, note down those things which made you smile. So, you can try it the next time too to bring that smile again.
12. No big deal: Think about the vast universe while feeling bad and realize how tiny humans are and realize that we are not that big of a deal in this huge ball.
